St. Tropez Area

St. Tropez

St Tropez shouldn’t only be thought of as the honey pot of glitz and glamour. The little lanes around the villages and down to the beaches which made it so famous intersect vineyards keeping the “presqu’île” alive and verdant and remarkably unspoilt. The vendage is as important here as it is in Bordeaux. Venture up into the hills behind and explore the medieval hilltop villages of Grimaud, Gassin and Ramatuelle, all with their own unique characters alive with galleries and quaint village squares, cafes and restaurants.  A little further inland but still only a fifteen minute drive down to the coast with spectacular  views of the Gulf of St. Tropez is the village of La Garde Freinet.

Here you find beautiful houses for a fraction of the price of those on the “presqu’île”. Further west are the beautiful beaches of Gigaro, Cavaliere and La Croix Valmer from which you can hire a boat and explore Les Porquerolle islands.

However, the village of St Tropez is still very special. Rub shoulders with celebrities at the famous Senequier café overlooking super yachts moored along the quay. Have a cocktail and dinner watching the sun set at Club 55 on the beautiful Pampelonne Beach. Pick up locally grown fruit and veg at the Place de Lice market. Whatever makes a holiday special for you is possible in St Tropez!
