Villa Palmier, Escalet, nr. St. Tropez

Sleeps 12

€6,250 - €13,750 per week

This stunning and tranquil house is set in an idyllic private domain in the hills of St. Tropez above the bay of Escalet. Overlooking vineyards and woods down towards the sea, the house has breathtaking views and is only a short (but steep) walk down to Escalet beach. The perfect base for those who love the glamour of St. Tropez but want first class relaxation, not too near to the action! The beach clubs of Pampelonne are only about seven minutes’ drive away and the Place des Lices, market only 10 to 15 minutes depending on the traffic.

Decorated recently to a high and extremely elegant standard, the house is contemporary but extremely comfortable, spacious and light. The villa is all about outside living with very good reception areas inside flowing directly out to the terrace with comfy outside sofas and chairs and a large outside dining table under the shade of a vine-covered pergola. The infinity pool is surrounded by very good quality sun loungers but there are plenty of shady areas to retreat to with a book or a drink if the sun just gets too much.

The master bedroom suite is on the top floor and completely private with its own comfortably furnished, wrap-around terrace and a beautiful mahogany panelled bath and shower room. There are a further three ensuite bedrooms plus a further internal double bedroom which is ideal for children with four luxury bunk beds and dual access leading from two other ensuite bedrooms – perfect for families or those with additional guests.

The grounds of the house are beautifully maintained with terraced olive groves and the pool overlooks the countryside and the sea. The perfect getaway in St. Tropez.

“This is an extremely well run house, with lots of additional services available – so you needn’t worry about restaurant bookings or indeed how to get there and back! Alternatively just spend your day by pool with its fab views.”

Client Reviews:

“Stunning view and setting. The villa is tucked away yet near enough to everything. The bedrooms were all really well sized and it was immaculately maintained. The manager provided a great service and all in all it was a perfect family holiday home. We shared with another family and there was plenty of room for us all. Lovely to have good sized storage space in the rooms, could really unpack and feel at home.

The pool is stunning, and there is a lot of seating available, plenty of options for sun or shade. The local shop had an amazing BBQ selection so it was just as lovely to stay in for lunch as it was to go out.

We travelled with one baby age 4 months, and 4 children 6 to 9 years – it worked really well although the layout (stairs & pool) probably wouldn’t suit 1-4 year olds so well.

Moorea and Cabane Bambou were great for lunch and only a few minutes drive away. Our host Shane was incredibly helpful and did some taxi runs for us to and from the beach clubs. We also took a trip into Port Grimaud which was a lovely little town with pretty canals. We went for dinner one night there at Le Sun, down on the beach, great food and wine and relaxed enough for children.

All in all, great villa, great location, great host and we would love to do it all over again!”
