Villa des Pins, Gigaro

Sleeps 6

£2,160 - £6,000 per week

A comfortable, recently renovated holiday home within striking distance of St.Tropez. Quietly situated on a private domaine just outside the village of Gigaro, everything is accessible.  The pine covered hills rise up quite steeply from the sea so, if you are reasonably active, you can walk up and down the forest track to the shops, bakery, restaurants and the beautiful sandy Gigaro beach – only about a fifteen minute walk. The house has magnificent sea views from all the rooms, terraces and the pool. St. Tropez and the many other lovely villages are all within easy driving distance and you are right next to the National Park with its walking and hiking trails.

The accommodation combines the best of Provencal tradition with up to date equipment and contemporary, comfortable furnishings. Built on two levels, the reception areas are on the upper level accessed from the gravel drive. The L-shaped sitting room is large, easily seating eight, with a television and big sliding doors leading out to a covered terrace.   The kitchen is well equipped with granite worktops and everything you might need including a separate laundry room. The open plan dining room off the kitchen also leads out to a dining terrace with a round table and portable barbecue.

Downstairs are three kingsize bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, each with French windows leading out to a shady terrace overlooking the pool area, garden and with sea views.

The landscaped garden extends to about an acre and there are plenty of comfortable outside chairs and loungers for when it is just too hot to do anything but sit by the pool.   In the evening, the nights and lights of St. Tropez are only a fifteen minute drive or taxi ride away and, after a wonderful night out, what better than to retreat back to Villa des Pins for a late night drink looking out to sea from your own terrace.

Note:  The house is unsuitable for very small children as the pool is unfenced (it has an alarm).  Also there are stone stairs inside the house and unsecured steps outside.

What Sarah thinks:

“This is a great (and reasonably rare) chance to rent a villa with sea views and walkable to the beach, restaurants and local shop. Maybe not for toddlers or pushchairs as you would then need to go by car down to the beach. Also the bedrooms are open on to the pool terrace. I think it is perfect for a family with teenagers, a “chill out” house.”

Client Reviews:

“This is a very well appointed villa with a stylish interior which is luxurious and spacious. The location is idyllic, with good views of the surrounding countryside. The garden is beautifully laid out with a good sized pool and a variety of very comfortable seating areas. This is a perfect ‘get away from it all’ villa which has been wonderfully presented and which exceeded our expectations.”

Roz – August 2017

“We have been looked after very well by Celine who looks after the house.  We brought food online before which she organized. We arrived and it was all put away in cupboards etc. The house is in the countryside and totally silent with beautiful views of hills covered in cork oak trees.

The house is big and light and very comfortable. Outside lovely seating areas and cozy corners. We loved the pool and the pizza oven as well. We had a great stay here and can highly recommend it to any one who loves living the life!”

Emil – July 2017

“We had a wonderful experience.  Not only was the house nicer then the images but the staff on site made sure every need was looked after. I cannot say enough good things about the house, we had an amazing stay.
