Description

Bequia is “The Jewel of the Grenadines” and has an inherent magic. It is a simple, unspoilt island with beautiful beaches and friendly locals.

This beautiful villa was completed in 2015 with carefully planned accommodation finished to an extremely high standard, with great style and attention to detail and comfort.   The house faces south 600′ above Friendship Bay with stunning, uninterrupted 180 degree views over Battowia and Baliceaux, Mustique, Isle a Quatre and the Grenadine chain down to Grenada on a clear day.

Sleeping up to ten guests on two levels, the main accommodation is on one level with three double bedroom suites, large living/dining room, kitchen, cloakroom, utility, media room, pool area with loo, outside shower, kitchenette, seating and dining area and extensive terraces.

Below there are two additional bedroom suites and an enormous games room/sitting/dining/kitchen/bar which makes for very easy living. The lower floor has equally spectacular views.

There is a 34′ infinity pool with a sitting and dining area surrounded by the lush gardens.  Further dining areas are on the front terrace and also in the courtyard.

Guests are looked after by a charming and very able couple who live on the property in a separate house.  They look after the house, garden and pool and prepare, cook and serve delicious meals and cocktails.

“There is no winding down or time needed to relax into holiday mode – it all happens in the first five minutes.  Shoes kicked off, Javal’s rum punch slipping down easily as we gaze over the spectacular views across to Mustique –  home, work and airports are already forgotten.  

Every comfort has been considered here, wonderful beds, towels, sofas and cushions made it feel like our own tropical home from home.  There’s plenty of space to spread out and find a quiet spot in which to read, play a game, listen to music or watch TV, or gather together to share a drink and chat at the end of the day. 

Nestled into the hillside, the house has some of the very best views on Bequia and it has been cleverly designed so that every room enjoys long distance views over the sea and nearby islands.  Lying in bed and watching Friendship Bay wake up below us was the perfect start to the day.  Followed by a pre-breakfast swim and more gazing out to sea over the edges of the infinity pool.  Breakfast might have been in the garden, lush with tropical plants and fruit, or on the terrace overlooking the sea depending on what amount of sun or breeze we wanted. We had a few fun meals out in bars or restaurants but our dinners by the pool, prepared by Javal and Natesha won hands down on the culinary front. Delicious fresh fish and imaginative recipes using local vegetables as well as some very wicked puddings, made our evenings “at home” very special.  We tried to earn our meals (and our rum punch) by walking up and down to Port Elizabeth which is quite hard work but worth it just for the reward of relaxing back into the tranquility of the house and the pleasure of a poolside lounger.

We couldn’t have been more comfortable or spoilt.  Thank you for some wonderful memories.”
