Petit St. Vincent Private Island

Sleeps 2 - 6

From US$1,350 per night

Uniquely Petit St Vincent has currently been granted its own ‘bubble status’ meaning that guests do not have to quarantine on arrival.  You can leave the UK on a morning flight and be sitting looking out over the blue Caribbean with your first evening cocktail later the same day –  the ultimate sense of freedom we are all longing for at the moment.

A secluded private island resort in the southern Grenadines, this 115 acre tropical paradise has a rhythm all of its own.  A boutique beach resort where low-key luxury meets high-end service.  This is a place to disconnect from the world and reconnect with each other.  Caribbean living as you dream it might be.

Accommodation is in one and two bedroom villas, all tucked away in secluded corners of the island.  There is no WiFi in the villas which means digital detox (you do have it in the reception area though and phones work so you can download emails, etc. – however this is not the ethos of the Island).

Some one bedroom villas can be found high on the hill or bluff and have breathtaking views while others are nestled on the beach under the shade of the palms.  Each villa is built from hand-quarried native volcanic stone and designed with comfort in mind. The interiors channel the natural beauty of the island and combine locally sourced woods with soft Italian linens and pastel hues.

Floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors flood the spacious living areas with a gentle ocean breeze and the sounds of birdsong, while the wooden sun decks, complete with loungers and hammocks, will help you make the most of beautiful sunlit mornings, balmy starry nights, and stunning panoramic views.

All the two bedroom villas sit directly on one of the best beaches in the Grenadines.  They are surrounded by leafy tropical gardens, just footsteps away from the shoreline and offer uninterrupted views of the Atlantic.  Each span over 1500 sq. ft. and feature vaulted ceilings crafted from local purpleheart wood, smooth marble stone flooring, and beds dressed in crisp white Italian linens.

The two bedrooms provide plenty of space for families or groups of friends, and the outdoor sitting room with large pavilion ceiling offers ample room for relaxing, dining, or soaking up the sights and sounds of the nearby ocean.

The villas are rented on a fully inclusive basis and it is the service and attention to detail that makes a holiday on the Island truly stand out.  For every guest there are two members of staff, which means a helping hand is never far away. From making sure a chilled glass of your favourite rosé is ready and waiting for you at the beach bar to taking you on a guided tour of the organic chef garden, the team will make it happen.

There is even a special room service flag system. Simply write a note, or fill out a menu form before raising your yellow flag and our team of butlers that circle the island in Mini Mokes will deliver whatever you desire direct to your door. And for those times when you’d like a little more privacy? When the red flag is raised outside your villa, you won’t be disturbed.

Dining consists of anything from private island picnics to vibrant beach barbecues or al fresco fine dining with a side of sea views.  Here is a place for unforgettable dining experiences celebrating ingredients grown, fished or foraged as locally as possible.

Nestled amongst the trees of Marni Hills is the hillside spa, managed by a highly skilled team of therapists from Bali.  This tranquil hideaway is dedicated to nurturing mind, body and spirit.  Home to four open-air treatment rooms, here is where you can indulge in everything from deeply relaxing massage treatments to smoothing, all-natural body scrubs.

For the energetic, there are a myriad of water sports available (no need to book in advance), diving, hiking, fitness trails, tennis courts, etc., etc.  Lastly, why not enjoy a day trip round some of the most beautiful islands in the Grenadines.

Explore hillsides covered with lush, tropical greenery and climb magnificent mountains offering inspiring views. Relax on pristine white sands and make friends with the locals in beach bars serving punchy, rum-infused cocktails. Sample seafood from traditional lobster shacks and experience what is undoubtedly some of the best snorkelling in the Caribbean.

Barefoot luxury and complete tranquillity on this beautiful private island – what more could one wish for.  This is a holiday ideal for people who have “done” the BVI or Maldives and want something non-glitzy and different.

What Sarah thinks:

“We thought being able to offer couples villa living in such an exceptionally beautiful location was worth slightly stretching our self-catering villa mantra to include these fully inclusive, catered villas.  Not too hard a decision!”

Client Reviews:

“Unplugged luxury.  The views are breathtaking.  The food was excellent.  But the employees are the kindest we’ve encountered in all our Caribbean travels.”

“Your world is blissfully confined to glowing dawns and dusks, ocean views, exquisite food, and that fruity drink before you at Goatie’s Bar.”
