On the edge of the tiny village of Montouliers with its narrow cobbled streets and surrounded by lush vineyards, Maison des Vignes is that rare commodity – a large, beautifully presented and immaculate house with its own wonderful gardens and pool, yet in a village with all amenities (including a shop, post office and village tennis court) within walking distance. This region of France is charming and completely unspoilt and there is masses to see and explore. The Canal du Midi is only 3km away and the house is only half an hour’s drive to the Mediterranean coast.

This is the French home of an English couple who split their time between Maison des Vignes, London and their UK country house. You can really feel their devotion to this home. They visit regularly in order to oversee the vineyard and pretty gardens overlooked by the house and to spend quality time with their friends, children and grandchildren – something for which French rural living is uniquely known.

The accommodation is exceptionally well designed and decorated with a formal dining room, comfortable sitting rooms and wonderful bedrooms, all of which have air conditioning. The kitchen is equipped to the highest standards and two of the bedrooms are in the separate and charming Guest House which also has its own kitchen and sitting room – perfect for grandparents, a separate small family or teenagers.

The mature gardens are particularly lovely with various dining and seating terraces, a lawned area and all with views over the surrounding vineyards and hillside. There is a good sized, gated swimming pool with a pool-side dining area and lots of space for everyone to find that perfect corner for a quiet drink or read of ones book!
